There used to be a "Subscribe by Email" widget in the sidebar of this blog. A few real people with whom I am acquainted signed up to receive blog updates by e-mail. Several hundred apparently bogus e-mail addresses did, too. But there was a notice from Blogger that the widget, and the e-mail subscriptions, will be discontinued starting in July. So I have removed the widget, and if you were one of the real subscribers you will stop receiving the e-mails in July, if not before.

It looks like you can still subscribe in various RSS readers with the "Subscribe in a Reader" widget, or just visit the blog when it occurs to you, or via the inks included in our weekly Zoom folk dance reminder e-mails.
