If you're on Facebook, join the new Argonne IFD group

Charles helped Susan set up a facebook group for Argonne International Folk Dancing -- so if you're on facebook (I'm not), you should be able to join the group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/argonneifd/

It's possible that once you're a member of the group you would be able to post to it by sending e-mail to:
argonneifd@groups.facebook.com  Since I'm not on facebook, it doesn't accept e-mail from me (I tried, and got back a "Permanent Error" failure from the mailer-daemon), so I don't know exactly how that works.  Rose & Michele are also tagged as admins, along with Charles & Susan.

Here are some instructions for how to join, if it's not intuitive; I found them by googling, so no guarantees: http://www.wikihow.com/Join-Groups-on-Facebook

I think they're looking for a way to have the blog posts here automatically shared to the new facebook group, but they can always be manually shared either with the facebook icon on each blogpost, or the "AddThis" widget in the sidebar.  If you know how to follow RSS feeds in facebook, you can get the RSS feed for this blog by clicking on the "Subscribe in a Reader" link in the sidebar,  http://feeds.feedburner.com/argonneifd
I found the following instructions for setting up facebook to follow an RSS feed by googling, again no guarantees: https://www.lifewire.com/set-up-rss-feed-on-facebook-3486528

While I was looking around for info about facebook groups (even though I'm not ready to jump on the facebook bandwagon myself), I found that EDC and the Evanston group have facebook pages that are searchable with google -- in case you want to follow them, so that you find out about events such as the Regional Folk Dance Potluck tonight (Nov 5) in Evanston, the Out-of-the-Woodwork Party, their New Years Eve party, etc:

I gather that there is a difference between a facebook page, and a facebook group.  It appears that the facebook groups don't show up in a google search, while pages can show up -- Charles showed me that the Fermilab folk dance group has a facebook group, but I don't find it with google.

Anyway, if you're a facebook person, feel free to join the group and participate!
