We want you to know that the Eau Claire (Wisconsin) International Folk Dancers are planning to hold another workshop to celebrate our group's 30th anniversary. The workshop will be the weekend of Friday September 25 - Sunday September 27, 2009. Our teachers have ties to Eau Claire - Lee Otterholt (Balkan - born and raised in Eau Claire), Yuli Yordanov (Bulgarian - six months in Eau Claire immediately after arriving from Bulgaria), and Hilde Otterholt (hula - married to Lee, and thus an honorary Eau Claire native). We're having the Reptile Palace Orchestra from Madison play for our Friday night party, and Orkestar Bez Ime from Minneapolis will play for the Saturday night party. We will also definitely include the return of the famous tortes for our Saturday night snack.
Please mark these dates on your calendars, and please pass this notice on to others in your groups or email circle that may be interested. I'll be sending out monthly updates, and am happy to add anyone's email address to my list if they're interested. You can also stay informed through our workshop web site at: http://www.cs.uwec.edu/~wagnerpj/ecifd/workshop.htm . We plan to have registration flyers available by early June.
I look forward to passing on additional information in the coming months, and we hope to see many of you this fall!
