St. Sava's Int'l Evening -- Saturday, Feb. 14, Milwaukee

Dear Folk Arts Friends ~
The International Evening at St. Sava's in Milwaukee is one of the finest dance and music events of the year.  The beautiful and spacious cultural center of this Serbian Orthodox parish is the setting for a night filled with dance performances by the best of Milwaukee's rich variety of culturally active ethnic groups, including St. Sava's own superb young people's ensembles.  Throughout the evening there is ample opportunity for open dancing to the broad repertoire of Orchestra Sloboda between performance sets, and the kitchen offers excellent ethnic cuisine.  This festival, organized by lifelong dancer and Duquesne Tamburitzans alumnus Milan ("Mike") Malich, represents the best of Milwaukee's tradition of multi-ethnic celebrations of living folk heritage, of which the St. Sava community is an outstanding example.  If you enjoy the Milwaukee Holiday Folk Fair or Madison's Folk Ball Festival, you will love this event, believe me!  Full details on the attached flier (a small WORD document).  For further information, email Mike at  <mike_malich@yahoo.com>.
