archive.org 78rpm Folk Dance Recordings

A couple of years ago, I came across a collection of MP3s from public domain 78rpm recordings of folk dance music on archive.org, along with the code to embed a player in the sidebar of the blog.

But (at least on an ancient Windows XP desktop), it seems to be taking longer and longer to load the argonneifd.blogspot.com page, so hoping to speed things up, I've removed that gadget from the blog.  If you want to access the music directly, here's the link:

As of this writing, the workshop schedule isn't posted yet, but we understand that Mary Allsop will be doing a Scandinavian fiddle workshop, and Roo will be doing a Scandinavian dance workshop.  Usually there are various other dance workshops as well as other folk workshops.  The schedule says "On Saturday February 11 and Sunday February 12, we will have a series of free daytime workshops in Ida Noyes Hall. Our workshop schedule is still in progress, but workshops can generally be expected to run from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM."
The evening concerts are at Mandel Hall, 8pm Friday Feb 10 and 7:30pm Saturday Feb 11.
